In today's market, contract extensions seem to be the norm. Whether it be from financing issues to repair challenges, not all contracts close within the normal 30 day period. If your house is under contract, or if you are purchasing a home, don't be alarmed if the contract does not close on the original closing day. Extensions allow the contract to remain valid and all parties to continue working toward closing.

P.S. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
