Open Houses during the Holidays can prove to be a great selling tool. Homes decorated have a special "homey" feel that can be beneficial to buyers in the market to purchase. Nothing can be better than walking into a house that smells like fresh baked cookies, hot cider, and green pine trees. Some sellers are hesitant to open their houses during the holidays, but with a few precautions, it can be a great time to showcase your property. During the holidays, I have extra staff on hand just to make sure that no decorations or holiday gifts  suddenly disappear. I also ask the sellers to do a walk-thru before the event and put up any items of value such as laptops, jewelry, or cell phones. With just a little effort, a Holiday Open house can be just the ticket to hook a buyer.
