"The Oklahoman" reported that owning a home remains a goal of many Oklahoma residents, and according to a recent survey, 75% of Americans believe owning a home is the best long-term investment they can make. According to the Census Bureau, figures show that homeownership is higher in Oklahoma than it was 10 years ago. Piedmont leads the state with a rate of 91.5% in owner occupied housing.
