As a Realtor, I meet many vendors associated with home ownership. This time of year in particular, landscapers and tree experts are especially busy. From talking with these professionals, I have received some valuable information that I would like to pass along to help you enjoy your trees for years to come. Avoid these practices, which can kill a healthy, mature tree.
1) Trenching through tree roots
2) Removing soil over the root system of the tree
3) Adding soil above the tree's root system
4) Heavy traffic on root systems causing soil compaction
5) Tilling deeper than 1-2 inches over the root system
6) Causing physical injury to the trunk or limbs.
As always, if I can be of service in your next house transaction, please don't hesitate to contact me. Until then, enjoy my website!
