My New Blog

Recently, I have been working with a first-time home buyer who has a very limited budget. After viewing many properties, she fell in love with a newer built construction. At inspection, the inspector pointed out some potential structural issues that would require piers. Needless to say, the buyer walked away from the contract and we are still searching today. One would think that newer houses wouldn't be a concern. However, it is not necessarily the age of the property but how it was constructed. I can't stress the importance of a good home inspection. Make sure you perform your due diligence before you head to the closing table.

If you are in the market for a new home, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns....Shawna
